Sporty Spice

Here's my cutie today! We found out this week she weights 9.8lbs, she's growing so fast! She wore her first real pair of shoes today, so exciting that she's fitting in to stuff now. :)

She makes the funniest faces! We love just watching her. :)


I'm so excited that the new Harry Potter book is coming out tomorrow!! I was gonna go to the midnight party tonight and get it asap, but i decided i'd be too tired and didnt want to deal with waiting in line with the munchkin, so instead I pre-ordered it online and it's being shipped to me tomorrow. I'm starting to think this wasnt the best plan tho, I dont know when tomorrow it will arrive and all my other HP crazy friends keep texting me with countdowns of when they are getting their book... I want mine!! ahhh!!!!

She keeps growing, and growing, and growing...

Things are all going well here. :) Ainsley is starting to sleep longer at night, and i'm figuring out when to put her down for naps during the day. I think her getting more sleep is making her happier.:) She's getting so big! Everyone who sees her for the first time says 'oh! she's so small!' but she looks huge to me! lol She's starting to get rolls on her legs even, lol. I wish i had one of those little baby scales, I'm just so curious as to how much she weighs now, I'm guessing almost 9? Who knows. Her next pediatrician appt isn't until Aug 14th, so i won't know for a while.

We're really excited to be going to Newport Beach. Ains and I are flying there next Monday, her first plane trip! I didn't take mine until i was 18! I'm a little nervous to fly by myself, but i think it'll be okay, people have done it before and survived, right? :) Tom can't come until late Wednesday (silly people who have jobs, j/k) but at least I'll have him to help for the way home. The whole Christensen clan is going, they go almost every year, it's like a family tradition. This will be my 3rd time there, it's gonna be a blast with all the kids :) although i'm sure Ains won't really get much out of the beach yet, lol.

Ainsley went to her first movie and her first trip to church this week. She did much better at church, lol. I took her to Harry Potter with Tom, Candice, Tad and Rox. She slept the first 10 mins and the last 10 mins, and i spent the middle part bouncing her and walking up and down the side of the theater. I think the next movie we see we will let Candice or Kirty babysit, lol.
Church we just stayed for the first hour, and she was great, slept almost the whole time. Woke up just as it was ending, and had pretty wide blue eyes open to win over everyone who came over to see her :) Everybody loved her, but of course, how could they not, lol.

Well I dont have many pictures to share this week, i promise to do better next week. But here's a little video of her we took a couple weeks ago. She's a squirmy lil girl.

One Month Old!

I can't believe it's been a month since our little doll came into our family. She's such a character, she makes the funniest faces and cracks us up constantly. It's so fun to watch her grow and see her little personality start to come out.

Update

Well things have been going well, we are crazy about our little girl. We went to her 2 week appt early last week and found out she weighed 7lbs 10oz, and was 22.5 inches long. The Dr said this put her in the 25th percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for height! So she's tall and skinny, lol. Tom says this is the perfect build for a professional golfer, lol. He's already planning her world domination. :) We'll see if she keeps it up, she definitely didn't get the tall gene from me, lol. Her eyes are still brilliantly blue, and although this could change anytime between now and 6 months old, the Dr said that a lot of babies that are going to change have eyes that are already getting darker with touches of brown, and hers are getting lighter. They are so pretty!

This last week was super fun, we had both grandma's come stay with us! Grandma Kathryn came first, and got to spend some one on one time with Lil Miss and we got to sleep in a bit :) Ainsle and I both loved her being here, we were both spoiled! :) Then Grandma Cinda showed up the night before Grandma Kathryn had to leave and we had them both for a few hours, hehe, we're hogging all the Grandma's! mwahahahaha!!! Grandma Cinda flew doen for the weekend for my birthday, and we went to a cute baby craft fair, ran some errands and just played w/ our favorite girl. It's always hard to see her go, probably wont see her again until the baby blessing in Aug, but who knows.

And in the last bit of news for this week, this morning I was changing her diaper and while my hand was down in that region adjusting the new diaper, she pooed on me.... yes, it's offical, i am a mom! :)
