The Catch-Up Post

I am a slacker.. I admit it. I could use the excuse that I'd lost the use of my camera, (which i did.. the battery died and I couldn't find the charger) but I actually didn't take any of the pictures below. Although not having it was very depressing and not conducive of me wanting to blog. However.. I am back, thanks to a friend, my camera is back, and soon pictures actually taken by me will start appearing here again. And for now.. here's some of what we were up to...

We went to Vegas a couple weekends ago to get some pics of Ains taken (post to follow) and Ains and I stayed for a few more days to attend the bridal shower of Tom's brother Richard's fiance, the lovely Erika. (Try to say that 5 times fast). It was really great for Ainsley to get to spend time with her cousins.

Two weeks ago we went to the Zoo for the first time.
We went with Cristi and Zach... Zach's Ains first boyfriend.. hehe..
at least that's what their parents have decided.
If arranged marriages were still around Ains would be Ainsley Nelson in the future.. hahah

Discovery Gateway with Cousins

It was another great Discovery Gateway day. We went with my cousins Janell, Rachel and Natalie (they are all sisters). Rachel was visiting from CA, so it was fun to see her and her cute little girl Claire. And Ainsley is always happy to see Janell's little girl Sadie, who's only one month older than her. She talks about her and Brooklyn all the time. Her little girly girls.

Ainsley loves fishes... i'm not quite sure why.. but she gets very excited whenever she sees one. We went to Cabela's for playgroup because they have a stream in the middle of the store. Who knew?! They also have quite the collection of dead animals stuffed and set up around the place.. it was kind of cool to show Ains all the different Animals, but also kind of sad. I really hated to see all those beautiful animals stuffed and mounted and sitting in this store full of equipment designed to kill more of them. Anyway, sorry for the emotional tangent..

Baby Love

Ainsley has been very interested in babies lately, she carries her own babydoll around the house, and she points out babies she sees, on tv and when we're out and about. She LOVES it when Aunt Candice comes to visit because then she gets to see Baby Wes. While his mom was away for a minute, I let Ainsley 'hold' him. In reality I set her on the couch and set him on top of her, while she tried to hold on. She was SO happy! (as I think you can tell)
