Birth Class Reunion

Yesterday we had a reunion of our Bradley Birth Class-Mates. It was so nice to see everybody. We only missed one girl who left the class early cuz she had her baby in the middle of it and the teacher (who's working on becoming a nurse-midwife and had an important exam today and couldn't come). The class was 12 weeks long, so we got to know each other pretty well. It was neat to see all the new little people that had entered the world, and hearing what actually happened after all our preparing. :) We all had girls! (what are the odds??) and they are all within about a week or two of the next one. So it was great to see what the girls had started doing, who's bigger, who has hair, and to watch all the new daddy's amazed with their little girls. :)

I HAVE THREE KIDS!!!

Well i basically have for the last couple of days. :) Kirty, lucky duck that she is, is on a cruise that starts in Seattle and goes up into Canada. I dropped her and her hubby off at the airport Monday morning and have been hangin out with her two cute kids since then. I'll drop them off at her neighbors tomorrow and go back to just havin' a baby instead of a 4 yr old, a 2 yr old AND a baby. :)

It's definitely hard work, I don't know how all those amazing moms out there do it. I salute you!! I'm so tired, it's crazy! Tom's trying to talk me into Ains being an only child, lol.

Not that it hasn't been fun :) The kids played Play-Doh together. Okay, well Quentin and Hallee played, but Ainsley watched and laughed a lot in her new bumbo chair. :)

We went to Chuck E. Cheese last night with Janell and Trent Brown, who really do have three kids those ages! It was a blast, a little crazy, but it was so fun watching the kids enjoy themselves. Quentin and Kaysen are really good at shooting hoops and air hockey, i was totally impressed!

While the boys played air hockey a couple of girls their age came and stood there watching them for a while, it was the cutest thing! Our little guys, studs already. And of course, typical guys, they didn't even notice. :)

And today we went to the Dinosaur museum! Quentin loves dinosaurs. He's got a blue and orange (his favorite colors) stuffed dinosaur named Rexy. He was excited that Ainsley hadn't been there before and kept trying to show her things. :) Both kids really like Ains, they love making faces at her, and she cracks up whenever they do. :)

We had some dino-nuggies and toured the pretty cool museum. I was surprised how many interactive play areas there were. We built a huge stuffed dinosaur, played in some muddy sand area and put together fossils.

And were almost eaten by a giant shark!!! AHHHH!!
Museums are dangerous places, what can i say.

Well it was fun to have an instantly expanded family for a while, and they are super kids to do it with. I'm tired tonight, but I'm sure this time tomorrow I'll be missing them. Anyway, I miss their mom like crazy, and hope she's having a super time. Hope all of you out there are as well, wherever you are :)
Night!

Oh! and Ainsley had her first slumber party!

My Personality

In one of my psychology classes we talked a lot about testing, and different personality tests. The Myers-Briggs seemed to be one of the more accurate and better tests in a category that's mostly just fluff. I always loved taking personality tests, and found these to be very true in my experience. So here's mine:
BTW: ENFP = Extroverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving

You Are An ENFP

The Inspirer

You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends.
You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority and rules.
Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives.
You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You're quite the storyteller!

In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart.
You often don't follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. And you do break a lot of hearts.

At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do.
You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.

How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding

When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused

The parts I think are the most true are
"You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends.
You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority and rules."
and
"When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused"
especially that last one.

A Day of Great Things!

First, She rolled over!! For the very first time! She did it so fast, and i just wasn't expecting it, i couldn't believe it had happened. I shrieked and told tom, then went back and put her on her tummy again, only to watch her slowly do it yet again! and this time I got pictures! :) I can't believe how fast she's growing up. I want to keep her a tiny little baby as long as I can, but it's also amazing to watch her grow. I need to just embrace it all, but i really have been sad as i've been packing away her first tiny outfits.

I had a dream last night that she started growing super fast and was as tall as i was by 4 months! And everyone kept telling me not to worry, that all kids grew at different rates and i'd have to get used to it. AHH!! I seriously woke up frantically thinking "i need to get her to the doctor!!" I was ridiculously relieved to realize it was just a dream. lol.

The second item of good new is LAPPY LIVES!!!!!! She's a miracle lappy. After lappy had bad on it's side with a fan blowing on it for so long, I decided to put the battery back in and give her a try, and she turned on just fine!! I haven't noticed any differences. I can't believe how lucky I am! She's an amazing miracle lappy! Or maybe Heavenly Father just knew I needed her. :) YAY!

TRAGEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My lappy died!!! *sob* the stupid clumsy oaf that I am, I went to set a cup of water on a side table and missed and dumped it all over my poor widdle sassy lappy! The screen immediately went all funny and lined all over... it's so sad... We took out the battery, stood it up and turned a fan on it to maybe try and dry it out, but Tom doesn't think it will do any good :( :( :( :(.

it's really sad how much i'm gonna miss my lappy. I admit it, I'm addicted, i need the internet, i need my pics and my music and my audiobooks and my lappy... Luckily Tom has an old Dell laptop that he's letting me use, so I'm not totally cut off. I'm trying to get used to it, it's Linux and i've never really used that before. Sigh.. it really is sad.. how sad i am.. I'm a nerd i know.. but i feel like I lost a friend...

GRANDPA!

My dad came up from Texas this week to meet our little Ainsers. He's really busy and it's hard for him to get away, so we really try and cherish his visits. He's such a character, funny and crazy, and a great dancer ;) hehe. Ainsley is really starting to make noises and talk to us, whenever she would sqwak at us he'd say things like "do you really expect us to believe that?? come on!" hehe, my sillly daddy. It was so fun to spend time with him and my sisters, and I love watching him play with Ainsley, I could tell he was really crazy about her. It's amazing how happy it made me to see them play together.

Cabin Fever!

So Tom's parents have a cabin up in the mountains about 3 hrs from us. They just remodeled it and we saw it for the first time this weekend. It was amazing!! We loved that place before, but now it's just awesome! All we wanna do is spend all our time there, the mountains are so soothing, its so nice to get away. I feel so totally spoiled up there! They rent it out a lot, but there's still a lot of time free to sneak away. Ainsley seemed to really like the fresh air and the birds, I'm so excited for her to be able to play up there in the snow. :)

You can check it out here :) if ya want

Three Months Old!

How did this happen?? I swear she was just born!
She's starting to make so many different sounds, she talks all the time.
And she has the biggest smiles, she opens her mouth as wide as possible.
She is so sweet and silly, when i go to pick her up from her cradle in the morning she always flashes the biggest smile and i know she knows i'm her mom. She cracks me up all the time.

Country Cousin

We went to Monticello for Labor Day and saw her cute cousin Gavin.
It was a lot of fun to see everybody (except slacker Rox who had to work)
My mom spent the entire time trying to talk everyone into moving
down there... sorry, not gonna happen! lol. We's city peeps ;)
I think everyone should just move up here!
and of course they say No way, they's country peeps.
I guess they'll just be who we go visit so Ainsley can see deer and ride on tractors, lol.
