A Random Post of a Random Week in our Random Life
Ainsley helping me hang up laundry..
Cousins
(okay.. these first pictures are of 2nd Cousins.. that's Janell's (my cousin) little girl Sadie, who is only one month and three days older than Ainsley).
And Ainsley and Ella with their Baba Kathryn
(Baba is Russian for Grandma)
Ains and I are holed up in Vegas for a while, I'm helping Kathryn out and being her personal assistant to earn me some extra clothes money, and to help her not go crazy, lol. It's been a lot of fun seeing the Vegas Fam get to know her funny little personality better.
And, because i'm bored and have it here, i'm also tacking on a little video of our jabberwocky. Ains has become so talkative lately! She will sit happy playing, just talking to herself for 15 mins straight, it's so cute! I can't believe how much she has to say, lol. Here's just a little taste of what she has to share with us all.

The Amazing Mumfords come to Utah
I finally found a cord to download the pictures from my camera! I had a double treat this holiday season, the day the last of my immediate family left from Christmas my Aunt Lavinia and her family showed up! Lavinia is only 7 years older than me, and I always thought growing up that she was the coolest. Now she's one of my best friends and it's hard to remember that her kids, the youngest of which is only about a year older than Ainsley are my cousins and not MY nieces and nephews, lol.
They live in Vegas just like all of Tom's family so I have a refuge there from all the in laws if i need one. Hehe ;) And it means that even though they don't live close to me I get to see them pretty frequently. Her husband James and Tom get along so I don't think he minded the extra visitors. and Ainsley LOVED the kids. Everytime she started crying or being sad they would sing her this silly song about crossing the street and she would start smiling, if not laughing! She really liked Zachary(6 yr old), she'd break into a huge smile for the smallest things he would do.
I hope they had a good trip, the kids were NOT expecting how cold it gets here and kept trying to go out to play in the snow in shorts! They acted like we were crazy to make them get all dressed up, then they'd go outside and only stay out a few minutes before they came back crying "it's too cold!!!" Well, we sure enjoyed having them! For those of you who haven't noticed yet, they have a blog now too! Yay!

Here's a video of the kids singing to Ains. I'm sorry Jacqueline, I couldn't find any pictures of you to add! But you're on the video!

New Years Resolutions
So, every year I make these as more of a joke than with any real conviction. However, this year I am determined. I really want to make a change.
#1 Get in Shape (big surprise, does anyone not have this on their list?)
I've never really had the motivation for this, but now I have faith, because now I want to do it for me.. not because I feel like the only chubby one in my stick figure in law family.. and my family as well, but at least they aren't out running triathlons, lol. I even have a plan. Kirty and i found a rec center in almost the exect middle between our houses that has a great pool and also offers aerobics classes. We got a one month membership there yesterday afternoon and attended our first class last night. We did a water class. I'd never done one before, it was a lot of fun, and also kicked my butt! I am excited to see where this month takes us. We have a girls trip planned to Vegas in Feb to go to H&M and buy a bunch of new clothes.. so we have great motivation to be the size we want to buy. :)
#2 Be more spiritual.
Especially better Temple attendance. What can I say more, it's an amazing peaceful place, and who couldn't use more peace in their lives?? I also want to do better at family prayers and scripture study and FHE.
#3 Keep A Good Record of Ainsley's Life.
My Goal is to not get more than two months behind on scrapbooking, and to try and write in her baby book every two weeks. She's growing and changing so fast, I don't want to forget a thing.
#4 Spend my money more wisely.
money seems to just disappear with nothing real to show for it.. i'm going to make an effort to really think about all my purchases before actually making them.
Well, it's a short list, but i think it's all important things. Thanks for letting me get it out there, it feels more real now. Happy New Year to All!! May all your resolutions come easily to you :)
