Mother and Daughter Team
So last night Ainsley and I had our debut as an acting duo, lol. It was the Relief Society Birthday night, and they did the program 'Daughter of a King'. It's set to this beautiful group of songs, and there are little vignettes of a girl growing from the spirit that comes down from heaven until she is a grandma and then goes to her rest.. it was so touching.. there's one song 'In the Mean Time'... all you women out there need to listen to it.. it was amazing to be a part of it. Ainsley was the baby girl in the beginning and I was her mom, and she was a total cheesy ham and stole the show.. in my opinion.. lol. But she was the super smiley happy baby that she is. The little spirit girl came and handed her a flower, and she took it from her.. and at the end a girl did this amazing dance and Ains was back out on stage with everyone who'd played the girl growing.. and she spent the time either watching the dancer or waving her flower at the audience. She is my light and my joy, and my life without her would be so dim. It was so sweet to be asked to be in it. I was also the mother to the baptism age girl, the teenager, and the bride.. which felt a little weird, I think I was 2 years older than the girl who played the bride, lol. But it was a lot of fun, getting to know the other ladies better and be a part of such a beautiful program, and I think it went over pretty well. Everyone said how cute Ains was afterwards, and you know how moms love to hear that :)
