GIRLS NIGHT OUT

Tom ditched us for a soccer game one night, so Ainsley and I took ourselves on a Girls Night Out. We went out for our favorite food, SUSHI! Ains sticks to plain rice and california rolls, but she's definitely a sushi fan. Her favorite way for her to eat sushi is to skewer a roll onto a chop stick.. it's quite interesting to watch her eating sushi like you would an ice cream bar. We left the restaurant and as we were walking to our car spied a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. And what GNO would be complete without chocolate?? So of course we had to go. I was good and just got a chocolate covered strawberry, but Ains got quite the treat (scroll down to see what, lol). After that we decided to run over to Hobby Lobby and get some crafty supplies. (That's pretty girly, right?). Me and messy face Ains got some great scrapbook paper for her baby book. A great time was had by all.

(fyi, that is a marshmallow, dipped in caramel, covered in chocolate and then m&ms)
no surprise here, she loved it

MUMFORDS TAKE MANHATTAN! (I mean Salt Lake City)

The Mumfords, people I love being related to, came to visit us this summer!
We had a blast and did a lot of fun things, but of course I only got a couple of pictures. Though the trip downtown on TRAX was definitely a highlight I think.

Summer Fun with Silly Ains

A fun trip to the fountains at the Gateway Mall.
Aunt Roxanne came too

I put Ains in her chair to color while I made dinner.
I gave her some paper and her bin of crayons..
I looked up and the bin was on her head. Silly girl.

4th of July

We had a great Independence Day this year!

Baby Wes came to visit

We had a fun BBQ at Janell and Trent's
And gathered round for a little fireworks display.
At first Ainsley wasn't sure what she thought about sparklers,

but she warmed up pretty quickly.

The guys put on their display

As the fireworks got bigger, louder and brighter Ainsley got a little more scared of them
On the way home she said 'Mommy, I had fun with the fireworks'.. so I think she had a good time :)

Birthday Bash

I had a big birthday this year.. and so I decided it needed to be a big bash. :)

We started with my favorite food, Sushi! We went to a place I'd never been before that my sister Roxanne recommended. It's called Sapporro, and its next to the Broadway theater. It was great! Really yummy food, all kind of things.. steak, chicken, fried rice as well as sushi. And it was really reasonably priced. I wish it was closer to me! I'm definitely going back.

After the food we headed to Keys on Main, another new favorite place. It was a BLAST! So much fun, i definitely recommend it.. and as you can see below, I enjoyed myself. :)

My fave pic of the night

they had me on stage to do the hokey pokey

My friend Eve even got to play the piano.
Tom witnessed all my craziness.. and loves me for it! :)
