Anyway, the concert was great! Ryan Shupe (another great local hero) and a couple other members of his Rubber Band were there and they did some really fun covers, like 'staying alive' and a big 80's medley. They also played some of my very favorite Peter B originals. Including a Beatles cover of 'Here, There and Everywhere' one of the sweetest songs. I loved the concert, it was so amazing, we got really great seats and I think Tom even enjoyed himself most of the time.
After the concert ended we were walking out, and as we passed a side door, low and behold, Peter himself walks out! I had to stop. I handed my phone to Tom and worked up my courage and went over to talk to this musical genius I adore. This was probably a mistake... I cannot fully describe the idiot I then proceeded to make of myself.. but I will try.
I walked up to him, I'm sure with a love sick puppy scary fan face on, and the first words to come out of my mouth (i cringe now remembering it) were 'I.. Love.. You..'
I then kind of mumbled something about how I don't really 'LOVE' him, but his music.. but kind of dwinded off at the end knowing every sound I'm making is nonsense. I then searched my brain for someway to express how much I love his sound and how his lyrics speak to me, and how often I listen to his songs.. I open my mouth, and I kid you not, I honestly said 'Your music is the soundtrack to my life!' Can I please die now.
At this point Ryan Shupe came over to tell him something and I had both of this great musicians that I adore right next to me and I commanded Tom to take our picture. (see below). There was then some mumbling about how I had friends in a band that opened for them once.. they actually remembered the band and asked about one of the members.. of course my mind totally blanks on their name, (which I do know.. it's Quinn).. I finally realize there is now a line of much cooler people who can probably control what comes out of their mouths, standing right behind me, so i muttered a couple more 'you guys rock' and 'thanks for your music' before Tom drug me away..
Although I was a complete idiot, I'm still glad I got the chance to meet them. They were SO nice, especially Peter B. Thank you all for listening.

Oh, that's so hilarious! Funny how nerves can make us into blubbering fools lol.
"The soundtrack of your life"? LOL that's probably what I would have said. :) You're so cool.
So funny.... I can totally see you doing that. Good thing you did go up to him or you would be kicking yourself right about now:)
I enjoyed that story the second time too...haha, who knows what they would say when they meet people they admire, we would all sound equally dumb. :)
LOVE IT!!! I bet Tom was getting a giggle out of it.
Haha! I would have done the same thing. That's cute of Tom to surprise you with that!
