Halloween (The Actual Day)

We spent Halloween in Monticello. They have a Carnival every year that's THE thing to do.. so of course, that's what we did.

Getting Ready

The kids were so excited to get in their costumes ;)

Ninja Gavin

They had a costume parade, and crazy Ains, never shy, had to get out and join in. My mom recorded some of it, and watching her walk around cracks me up.

Trick or Treating (Of course we had to get out a little bit) :)

Happy Halloween! (take 1.. pre-Halloween)

Saturday before Halloween we went to a trunk or treat at a local park with the Jenkins.
There were a lot of kids there, and they ran out of candy, but it was fun to see the kids all dressed up and pre-trick or treating.

After that we all went to dinner :)
Here's Ains playing outside while we waited.

And here is the Jenkins pretending Ains is theirs.

The Wednesday before Halloween my ward had a play group with all the kids in costume.
Here's Ains playing 'Ghost, Ghost, Goblin' (duck, duck, goose the rest of the year)

Decorated cookies

It was a day for treats, later that afternoon at my playdate group with some friends, she decorated cupcakes. :)

Our Fourth

Fourth of July was a laid back affair this year. We were thinking we had to go to Vegas so Tom could fix something. Luckily, Tom decided he could fix it remotely, so we were spared the 6hr drive each way and the 115 degree weather.

Instead we enjoyed a quiet lazy weekend at home.. our favorite kind :)
We had yummy hamburgers at Kirty's house and then went with some of her family to Sugar house park for the fireworks.

our little family

Ainsley was enjoying Quentin's head for some reason, lol.

We found my baby sister at the park too! Do we all look related?

Ainsley loves Hallee. Dog Pile!

ooh..

ahhh..

Happy Independence Day!!!

Saturday we had some bbq, and Ains looked so cute, i had to include a picture.

Christmas!

Photobucket
Christmas was great! My family came to my house this year. It was a lot of fun being the hostess to my Mom, Kelly, Matt, JaNae, Gavin, Candice, Tad and Roxanne. Christmas Eve we were also joined by Kelly's son Michael and his wife Carly and their little girl Gwen.

One of my favorite parts of Christmas is hanging up the stockings. In my moms family we also hang our stockings on broom handles. I can't quite remember why, lol. But I love it, the stockings actually hang, and there's usually a present or two under it. And each family gets their own broomstick. I felt so grown up having it at our house, with our little family on it's own broomstick. I love it. I have my own little family. :) We had a lot of fun with our full house. Matt got Rock Band for Christmas and I think I was getting pretty good at the guitar before they had to leave, lol. It was so fun! I don't really like video games, but that was a blast! Almost makes me think about getting an xbox... almost. We'll just have to go and visit Matt and Janae more often, hehe.

Halloween!!

Ainsley's first Halloween! It was a lot of fun. :) We went down to Las Vegas last weekend so Tom could do some work, and so we were there for the Trunk or Treat! It was fun to get the cousins together in their Costumes. And I actually got Tom to dress up! It was great!

For Actual Halloween Ainsley and I went to the Gateway mall and walked around with our friend/neighbor/hair stylist Randilee and her two cute little girls Emi who's 6 and Tori who's 4. Then our husbands met us at the main Salt Lake City Library downtown for 'Pumpkin Time' The librarians were all dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz and they read funny halloween stories, and we all danced to the 'Monster Mash'. And then we finished up by painting little pumpkins. :) It was a lot of fun. I figured she can't eat candy yet, I'm not sure how much she got out of this.. but it was fun for us, lol. After that we trick or treated my youngest sister, Roxanne's apartment and then went to my other sisters for dinner, movie and handing out candy. :) It was really cute to watch Candice answer the door holding Ainsley, everyone was like.. wait a minute.. did you guys not tell us... lol. And then when it was too much for her, she buried her litte face in her daddy's arms.. it was so cute! Anyway, It was a lot of fun, everyone loved our little butterfly.. She's so sweet, she smiled at everyone, i think she had a Happy Halloween. Hope all of you out there did too :)
