Grandma Cinda

Ains and I ran down to Monticello a little bit after Halloween. It was the last chance we had to see my mom before Christmas so I figured I'd take advantage of it. She had no idea we were coming, I just called from the car and told her to look outside. The look on her face when she saw us was priceless.

We visited my mom at the school she works at and had lunch with all the kids. Ains loved it.

We had a great time. Ains just adores her Grandma Cinda,
they do all kinds of silly things together. (as seen below)
I wish she lived closer!

Halloween

My ladybug went trick or treating early with her friend the handy man. There's a model home village near our house that was open for trick or treating in the morning and we thought we'd take advantage of the nice weather.

We checked out a few houses for fun while we were there.
I checked out a bathroom and when I came out Ains was snuggled up on one of the beds.

Later that night we lit the pumpkins we'd carved the day before.
Tom's
Danielle's
Ainsley's
I was going to just have her paint her pumpkin, and then I decided she could color on it, and then I'd cut out a face. But when I saw what she had colored I decided to just cut out where she'd drawn. I think it turned out pretty awesome. Very abstract art. :) I did pretty good on her first pumpkin.

Pumpkin Family

After handing out candy and eating mummy dogs we headed out for a quick trip to our neighbors, and down a couple streets. Ains was cold, it didn't last very long. She ended up wearing Tom's ReAL soccer scarf wrapped around her head, but was still adorable. I don't have anymore pictures, mostly because I forgot my camera battery last time we were at the cabin, and so I've just been using my phone camera.. so no flash, no night time photos. It was a fun night.

snow.. snow.. snow..

We woke up Tuesday morning to find the world had turned white! It made me want to start singing Christmas carols and baking up a storm. It made Ainsley bug me all day long to go outside. It was snowing for most of the day, but after her nap we bundled her up and let her go.

Making snowballs.. she'd just bring them to me..
I'm not sure she understands what snowballs are for yet.

Snow Angel? She just laid down on the ground and wiggled around..
not sure if she was trying to make snow angels or just enjoying herself. :)

Pumpkin Patch

Are all little kids fans of pumpkins? Ainsley loves pointing out pumpkins wherever we are. When we told her we were going to a pumpkin patch she almost freaked out. We told her the day before and she was sad we weren't going right away.

When we got there she was pointing out them all out "that's a big one! that's a little baby one!" She wanted a little baby one, she kept telling me on our way there that she wanted a little baby one. She kept picking one and then discarding it when she found a smaller one. She finally decided on a little round one with a long stem that she can hold on to. She carried it around the whole patch and wanted to take it into Olive Garden with us when we went out to dinner afterwards.

She's very excited to paint it, so look for those pictures soon. :)

A couple more cabin pics

I just realized I forgot about these and instead of adding them to the already long post I just published, I decided to do another quick post.

The ever popular tire swing.
