The Basement

We just finished our Basement! YAY! We did about half of it ourselves and hired out about half. I'm just so excited it's done. It was finished in the nick of time. We had family stay there the same day the carpet was installed.

The last big thing we did ourselves was paint it. Tom sprayed most of it, but rolled the top of the stairs. Ainsley was thrilled to be able to help. Below are some great pics of messy Tom (crazy boy even paints in flip flops) and Ainsley helping out. :)

One Month and Three Years

My talented sister in law Anna, the photographer, was in Vegas while I was there, so I took advantage of the situation. :) I'm posting some of my favorites, but you can see a bunch more here.

the St. George part of the summer

ok, almost a month later.. wow... i'm getting bad.

Let's see.. when I last left you I was in Las Vegas for swim lessons. Then on the 19th of July, (my mom's birthday) my sister had a baby. A little girl named Scarlett. LOVE the name. Dang Sister, giving my mom a grandchild for her birthday.. now all future presents will fail to compare. lol
So, since I was only an hour and a half away, I decided to ditch Vegas early and spend the weekend in St. George with the fam, leaving Tom to work. The weekend quickly became the next week as I was having too much fun to go home. :)

Grandma Cinda was there to see Scarlett, so we got to see her too. All her granddaughters in one place was more than she could refuse and she extended her trip a couple days, and then so did I.

They have a great water play area in st. george. Gavin, Wes and Ainsley loved it.

It was a great week, so much fun to see my family and meet my new little niece!

Quick Update

yeah, so.. finding time to blog with two kid is hard, lol. I should be in bed right now, but I'm waiting for some banana bread to cool and both the girls are asleep.. so I'm sneaking over here for a quick sec to post some pics. Hopefully real blog posts will return to my life sometime in the near future, lol.

So, sorry for the haphazard post... but I figured something was better than nothing :)

Two weeks after the grandma's left us home to fend for ourselves we packed up and left for Las Vegas. Stopping in St. George on the way. We try to stay still.. but we just can't. We're Nomads.

In St. George we got to see my grandparents and my sister and her family.

In Vegas, besides all the Christensen's, we also have the Mumford's! I love going to see them, Lavinia's one of my favorite people ever. :) So I was so excited for them to meet Nora. Hmm, I got a pic of everybody except James and Jacqueline.. I'll have to fix that this weekend.

The main reason we came to Las Vegas in the insane heat of July is for Ainsley to take swim lessons with all her Christensen cousins.
They were all taking them from Rosie, who taught Tom and all his siblings to swim.
So that's pretty cool.

besides that she looks so cute. :)

While we were in Vegas my friend Ticey came to see us. :)
We were roomies in college and she'd just had her 2nd baby too,
so we were excited to see each others little ones and catch up
