Cereal Killer

My little milk drinker is now an eater. :) Sunday night we had dinner at my sister Candice's house and since we were going to be having a family dinner i thought it would be a fun time to have *everyone*eat. I brought the rice cereal I bought weeks ago and hadn't been able to get myself to use yet, and we all sat down to eat :) I didn't make very much because i wasn't sure what she'd think of it, but she wolfed it down. She got mad when it was all gone! It was fun to feed her with a spoon, she kept grabbing at it. That's something new she's doing a lot of lately.. grabbing. :) Since then we've fed her cereal a couple more times, and she's been a good eater each time. The Bumbo chair has been great for this, she's not really ready to sit in her high chair, and i have no idea how i'd do it while holding her. It's so fun to see all the new things her growing adds to our lives. I love my happy little girl. :)

My new fitness plan

i HATE to exercise, but i want to lose some baby weight. So, i've been trying to find something I like to do that's active so I'll actually keep doing it. I thought about riding bikes or roller blading, but we don't have any of either, and there's really no where to ride to from our house. I thought about ice skating, but again, no ice skates. I thought about dancing.. but where?? and getting Tom to join me would be like pulling teeth. I had basically given up, when i just kind of stumbled on to the answer. :)

It's nothing huge or serious, but I've decided to walk more. I volunteered to help a friend deliver invitations to a bunch of people in our neighborhood. I realized how much I enjoyed walking around and I could definitely feel the work out it had been. I like taking Ainsley for walks, and so I've started walking places whenever possible. If i have a bunch of shopping in a bunch of stores in the same area, I walk instead of driving. :) Today i parked by Target on state street in Sandy. Then I walked down to Old Navy, which isn't too much of a change, but then after that I walked across to the Mall, which I wouldn't normally consider with in walking distance. Then I walked all around the Mall. Definitely something I enjoy doing. :)

So I'm going to start making walking my first option. Wish me luck!!

Tonight 'Guys and Dolls' was on tv. It was so fun to watch, it'd been a while since I've seen it. I love that movie...

They just don't make movies like that anymore.. i love old movies. The men in those movies.. so dashing and gentlemanly, rakish and flawed, yet all genuinely decent... Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Rock Hudson... what a different world it was then, they just saw everything with such different eyes.
and the women! What amazing women... Gumption! Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Birgman, Katherine Hepburn, Doris Day..

I think my all time favorite old movie is 'Philadelphia Story' Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn AND Jimmy Stewart! How can you lose with such a cast?? Such a cute movie! I love a happy ending. Oh.. and Charade! Best Hitchock film. Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant.

one of my favorite things about Tom is his love for old movies. He's a big Humphrey Bogart and Hitchcock fan. He also loves Breakfast at Tiffany's. Our cat FredBaby, was named after what Audrey calls her co-star that movie.
